Numerical Simulation of Street Canyon Morphology and Microclimate in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Zone

The design of street canyons has become a focus attention under the requirements high-quality urban modernization, while existing research gradually broken through basic norms aesthetic to include ecological considerations. However, it is only in recent decades that relevant been carried out super and super-large cities China. In this article, we take Nanchang, one largest China, as an example, use ENVI-met software (v5.5.1.) simulate analyze canyon city. Certain measurements were made verified compare microclimatic conditions at different scales. relationship between morphology outdoor thermal comfort was explored terms near-surface air temperature, wind speed, indicators. results show there high correlation canyons, such orientation, aspect ratio interface continuity, comfort. Therefore, starting from adjusting morphological characteristics practical suggestions can be provided for planners guide sustainable development contemporary improve spaces.
